How Much Does a Hot Tub Cost?

The answer to this question varies significantly, depending on brand, size, quality and options. You may be able to purchase one for less than 3,000.00 but realistically, itˈs hard to find one for less than 5,000.00 that has the amenities most people want.Make sure you are buying one that is built with quality, has a good warranty and is purchased from a reputable dealer.

It is beneficial if you can actually sit in it before you purchase a spa. Some of the better dealers offer ʺwet roomsʺ with hot tubs set up with water, heated and ready for you to try them out. Take advantage of this if you can so you know it is comfortable and that itˈs the perfect size for you and your family.

How much will a hot tub cost? Thatˈs like asking how much a car costs. There are so many different brands, styles, and quality levels that it is difficult to offer a simple answer. The most basic hot tub typically has one small pump and minimal jets with 3 months to 1 year warranty. The most economical spa may be 110v but beware, as these spas do cost more to run and they donˈt have enough amps to run both the heater and pumps at the same time. In the long run, most people are much happier with the 220v spas because they are cheaper to operate and are powerful enough to run everything at once. The luxury spa may have up to five pumps, many stainless steel jets, LED lighting, waterfalls, superior filtration, a stereo system, TV and DVD player, as well as labor and equipment warranties up to 5 years. A luxury hot tub can be $10,000.00 to $20,000.00, depending on options. Of course, you donˈt have to go from one extreme to the other, you may want one somewhere in between the basic and luxury models and there are many of those to choose from. Look at the options and see what is important to you.

Remember that hot tubs may need service from time to time so find one at a dealer who takes pride in their service. Ask if their service technicians have been formally trained. Some dealers charge a trip charge to repair your spa, even if it is under warranty, while others do not. Be sure to ask what the policy is before you purchase. Ask what marketing area they service.

Sometimes, it is tempting to purchase a hot tub from an out of town dealer who is doing a parking lot sale in your home town. This can be a real problem if you have any kind of issues at all because they wonˈt be there for you. It is far better to purchase from a local dealer and they can usually offer you the same prices.

So in closing, how much does a hot tub cost? Well, thatˈs up to you! The perfect priced hot tub is the one that fits both your personality and your budget.
